Each year, AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) supports hundreds of large and small Survivor Day events across the globe, in which suicide loss survivors come together to find connection, understanding and hope through their shared experience. We will be watching an AFSP produced documentary that offers a massage of growth, resilience and connection.

Together with Representative Suzanne Ness, Senator Donald DeWitte and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the McHenry County Suicide Prevention Task Force will be holding a firearm safety event to distribute free firearm safes and cable gun locks, while supplies last.

Additional organizations will be present to share their resources as well!

Never Walk Alone is a is a non-competitive awareness walk providing a chance to honor those who have died by suicide and to hear stories of healing a hope for the future. All funds raised at this event stay in McHenry County to support suicide prevention programs and support for survivors.
